The Under 20,000 Rupees smartphone segment has to be one of the most competitive smartphone segment. There are just so many phones to get. You have smartphones from Samsung, Nokia ,RealMe, Xiaomi and more. So there is a question we get asked quite often. Which is the Best Phone Under 20000 rupees well it’s time to answer that question.
There is always a confusion if you are looking smartphone under 20,000. We have decided to divide this article into three sections. The best phones to buy under 10,000 rupees., the best phones to buy under 15,000 rupees and the Best Phone Under 20000 rupees.
Best Phone Under ₹10,000
Redmi Note 7
If your budget is close to 10,000 rupees. The best phone for you would be the Redmi Note 7. Yes, the Redmi Note 7 that has been overshadowed by the Redmi Note 7 Pro. This is a phone that is supremely capable. It has good cameras with great CPU performance, it has USB-C and it’s premium glass design is just unmatched. This is an all-around great smartphone that truly hasn’t got its due. MIUI has its issues and we would have liked a fast charger bundle but at its ₹9,999 price tag it’s a little too much to ask for.
Let me make it clear that the Redmi Note 7 is definitely a better choice than the new Redmi Y3 at the same price. The note 7 is great at just under 10k but if you’re not ok with MIUI why or you want a bigger battery. You can take a look at the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 which also brings stock android so that’s a plus. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 and the Note 7 are very close to the 10k mark.
If you have a tighter budget of say ₹8,000 or ₹9,000. The best phone for you according to us would be the RealME 3 which starts at ₹8,999. The RealME 3 at its price is a great value for money smartphone. It has a powerful processor, a nice design, a big battery and decent cameras. All of this make it a great buy in the segment.
However there is one more option at this price and that is the Zenfone Max Pro M1. We know it’s an older phone but it still makes sense. The phone starts at ₹8,499 and at that price you get Snapdragon 636 processor, a 1080p display, a massive battery and stock Android. So if you don’t like ColorOS or if you want a higher resolution display, a bigger battery and stock Android I would say the Zenfone Max Pro M1 makes a lot of sense.
Best Phone Under ₹15,000
Redmi Note 7 Pro and RealME 3 Pro
If you’re wondering which is the Best Phone to buy under 15,000 rupees. Well, the answer is not so simple. There are a lot of phones in this price range. But there are two phones that are definitely one of the best phones in this price. Yeah we talking about the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the RealME 3 Pro. Both of these phones are amazing smartphones that are so so close that you just cannot go wrong with any of these phones.
However I know many of you are confused between the two. So let us make things simple. If you want the phone that brings an ad-free software experience and has a fast charger in the box. Go for the RealME 3 Pro. However if you want the phone that brings a more premium design and has the modern USB-C port. Go for the Redmi Note 7 Pro. It’s that simple.
If all you’re looking for is gaming on your phone the Honor play is also available under rupees 15,000. And as far as performance is concerned it’s definitely the best phone in this price right now. Yeah the cameras are worse than the Redmi note 7 pro and the Realme 3 pro. But if you’re looking exclusively for a phone that will breeze through games like PUBG, Honor play is definitely one that you should consider.

Best Phone Under ₹20,000
With the Best Phone Under 20000 there are again a lot of options. But there is one phone that I would definitely recommend the Poco. The Poco F1 is just one of the best smartphones in its price bracket, thanks to its flagship specs, great cameras and an amazing battery life. Plus there is a IR Face unlock. Overall it’s just a feature pack phone and under rupees 20000 it’s basically a steal. Also if you install G-Cam mode on the Poco F1 the camera performance becomes even better than the Galaxy S10. Seriously it’s incredible.
Samsung Galaxy A50
There’s also the Galaxy A50 which is definitely a pretty solid smartphone from Samsung in this price range. True it doesn’t have a flagship processor but the Exynos 9610 performs pretty well. And the A50 will get you a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a gorgeous design, a triple rear camera that performs very well and the One UI based on the latest Android Pie. Plus it also packs in a 4000 mAh battery same as the Poco F1.
Clearly, the Exynos chipset is nowhere near the Snapdragon 845. But unless you using your phone for intensive gaming at high settings this shouldn’t bother you too much. Basically if you want a phone that looks premium has an amazing AMOLED display and performs pretty well the galaxy A50 is definitely a phone you should consider.
However if an LCD panel is not an issue to you and you want flagship performance and an amazing battery life. The Poco f1 is definitely the phone that we recommend. These are the Best Phone Under 20000 rupees. These phones are just great all-around smartphones that offer great value for money.
Apart from these phones you must be wondering about Samsung’s M-Series smartphones and Nokia. But to be honest Samsung new Galaxy M phones are definitely better than their On series or even J series. We don’t think any of the galaxy M phones quite managed to match up against phones from Xiaomi, Asus and RealME. The same is the case with Nokia. Yeah the Nokia 7.1 for ₹17,000 is a decent option if you want stock Android and a premium glass build. We hope we have answered your question about which is the Best Phone Under 20000 rupees to buy.
