Workarounds for Call Recording

Before we get started, we would suggest you check any native call recording app on your smartphone.

OnePlus features a native call recording feature that records the call directly from the Dialer app and it even works on Android 9 and 10.

Similarly, Xiaomi and Realme also have in-build call recording applications. But, they are turned off by default.

To enable on Xiaomi devices with MIUI 10 and MIUI 11, follow the below steps.

  • Open the Phone app on your smartphone
  • Tap on the hamburger menu, and goto Settings
  • Now Open Call recording and Enable both the toggles.

To enable on Realme devices follow the steps below:

  • open the Settings App
  • Now, go to the System Apps
  • Click on call and then on Call Recording
  • Now, Enable the toggle for “Record all calls”

Now, you’re all set for recording calls on Xiaomi and Realme devices.

Similarly, Samsung also has a native call recording feature but it was removed in some regions due to the privacy issue. But if the option is still available in your region, you can enable it by following the steps below:

  • Open the Dialer app on your Phone
  • Now, tap on the 3-dot menu and go to  Settings
  • In the Call Recorder option, enable the “Auto record calls” option.

This should work and if you didn’t find the option to record the calls, then you have to follow the other workarounds we have shown later in this post.

Apart from this, recent leaks suggest that Google might be bringing call recording feature on their stock Dialer app. Due to this, all the phones with stock android will have a built-in call recording feature once this feature rolls out.

Now, if you have any other phone or these above methods do not work for you, then you have to use the applications mentioned below.
